The upcoming release of the next-generation Mitsubishi Montero Sport is anticipated to occur around 2025, as the current version has been in existence for eight years and is now considered one of the more established models in its category. However, when compared to the recent debuts of the Isuzu Mu-X and Ford Everest, the current Montero Sport appears dated.
In 2016 the latest iteration of the Mitsubishi Montero Sport was introduced and we lauded it for its significant improvement over its predecessor. Furthermore, it was among the models that led the way for the new category of SUVs based on pickups. Although the design of the rear has stirred up debate, there's no denying its exceptional SUV capabilities.
Nonetheless, the current version has become one of the more established models in its category, having been around for eight years, and in contrast to the all-new Isuzu Mu-X and Ford Everest, it shows its age. However, a recent report from Australia indicates that Mitsubishi is responding with the upcoming launch of the next-generation Montero Sport.
