Cadillac is expanding its horizon with the introduction of the all-electric Escalade iQ, along with plans for an even more spacious long-wheelbase variant, the Escalade iQL. As reported by Car and Driver, the electric Escalade iQ, revealed last summer, shares its aesthetic with the traditional internal combustion engine model but stands out with its aerodynamic design and illuminated faux grille. The standard iQ's substantial size boasts a 136.2-inch wheelbase, making it significantly larger than its gas-powered counterparts.
The forthcoming Escalade iQL aims to push the boundaries further, expected to surpass even the standard iQ's impressive dimensions and become one of the largest EVs on the market. Cadillac promises that both models will not only offer ample space but also continue the brand's legacy of luxury. The Escalade iQ series will feature a powerful dual-motor setup delivering 750 hp and 785 ft lbs of torque, with an impressive range of 450 miles per charge.
Luxury amenities are at the forefront of the Escalade iQ's design, accommodating up to seven passengers and featuring advanced technologies like a 55-inch curved touchscreen display, a panoramic glass roof, and a 40-speaker AKG Studio Reference sound system for an unparalleled audio experience.
Details about the Escalade iQL's release remain under wraps, with anticipation building for its grand unveiling. The standard Escalade iQ is set to hit the market this summer, with a starting price of around $130,000.
